Mina Tahir is an Egyptian-American fashion designer, creative director, and strategist whose work spans fashion, editorial, and international entertainment.
Born in Cairo and raised in Florida, Mina has long been interested in what people carry from one place to another, and how clothes, images, and objects take on new meanings as they move between cultures.
A graduate of the BFA Fashion Design program at Parsons School of Design, Mina brought those ideas together in her thesis collection, Youth. The collection reinterpreted traditional Middle Eastern craftsmanship through digital techniques, drawing on the visual language of street culture. Mina received the CFDA Future Fashion Graduate Award at NYFW Men’s in July 2018 and the CFDA+ Award for Youth. In 2021, she was named a Fashion Trust Arabia Debut Talent finalist, and in 2022 she presented her collection at Milan Fashion Week through Vogue Italia’s Cairo Fashion Experience initiative.
Beyond design, Mina’s practice encompasses image and wardrobe consulting, fine jewelry, editorial styling, and trend forecasting. She has advised luxury brands and talent and worked across print and digital editorial at ELLE. Her city guides to Cairo for Service95 and Seoul for KHAMSA bring that same eye to the details that give a city its character. Her work in international entertainment includes the El Gouna Film Festival and FIFA World Cup 2026.
